Description

The MediaChassis series of compact, flexible, table-top chassis support a variety of IMC Networks media and mode converter modules for 10/100/1000 Ethernet, 1/E1, DS3/E3/STS-1, VDSL and CWDM networking technologies. This modular approach allows network operators to inexpensively change protocols by simply changing the module rather than the entire unit. Networks utilizing a variety of fiber types will benefit, as well as networks operating multiple protocols such as TDM and Ethernet. With both standard and extended temperature (IE) versions available, as well as support for AC or DC powering options, the MediaChassis series is a cost-effective way to overcome a variety of media and mode conversion challenges.


Features

The MediaChassis series includes:

  • 1 slot and 2 slot models for installing any iMcV series modules.
  • An internal power supply that significantly increases reliability over products that use bulky, external AC/DC power transformers.
  • Installation flexibility: table-top, rack and wall mount options.

The MediaChassis series also includes an Industrial Ethernet (IE) model. The IE-MediaChassis series includes:

  • 1 or 2 slot versions for installing any iMcV series module.
  • AC or DC power options available (the 1 slot version offers both a 4-terminal DC power block and a country-specific external AC power adapter)
  • Extended voltage range on the DC terminal block: 35 to 75 VDC input; 7 to 50 VDC on IE-MediaChassis/1-AC
  • 1 slot version is DIN Rail mountable (DIN clips sold separately) and includes 4-terminal power block supporting cascading DC power

DC powered versions:

  • 2 slot version features internal isolated DC power supply;
  • 1 slot version requires external isolated DC power supply (not for use with positive reference ground systems)
